Aspire_Chermside

The project seeks to engage with its surroundings and actively contribute to the emerging urban realm.  A landscaped plinth connects the building lobby and communal spaces to the street, with the podium above forming an active and defined edge to the adjacent street.

Deep undulating terraces enhance passive surveillance and create a shared ‘outdoor room’ with adjoining neighbours, promoting social interaction and extending the street vertically.

A memorable arrival sequence includes generous overhangs that enhance legibility and promote resident interaction, whilst a permeable ground plane prioritises pedestrian amenity over vehicular access. 

The project maximises natural light/ventilation, with an articulated built form that self-shades and responds to orientation and privacy demands.  Internally, the Apartments follow a rational layout that divides public and private spaces into separate functional zones.
